And the list keeps on getting bigger and better - Microsoft made an outstanding move by updating the directory of the Xbox One backward compatibility games. Added to the roster recently is "Blue Dragon," the Xbox 360 game developed by Mistwalker and Atoon.
Xbox One backward compatibility games are continuously being updated by Microsoft and last week ended with eight more titles. As an update to our previous report, the addition of "Blue Dragon" was confirmed by Larry Hryb (@majornelson) on Twitter.
To echo the delight of "Blue Dragon" fans, Xbox head Phil Spencer replied to Hryb's tweet with: "YES, finally got BD in back compat, congrats team." So far, "Blue Dragon" has been the solitary update to Xbox One backward compatibility games. However, there are speculations that "Limbo" might be next in line, that is according to Xbox Spain.
Meanwhile, the status of "Skate 3" is still questionable. Phil Spencer previously hinted on Twitter that he was "confident" of its arrival to the Xbox One backward compatibility games.
Earlier this week, Xbox's program management director Mike Ybarra also teased fans with more Xbox One backward compatibility games update. According to Ybarra, Project Scorpio is currently considering "Star Ocean" to be added as well.
The idea of creating original content for Xbox One backward compatibility games was also brought up by Phil Spencer a few weeks ago. This means that the backward compatibility program is becoming a realm of its own, with the help of avid gamers.
To fuel up the hype, "Super Dungeon Bros" will be available for the whole month of November on Xbox One. "Murdered Soul Suspect," on the other hand, will be available on November 16 until December 15. In addition, Gold members will get "Monkey Island: SE" for free until the 15th of this month. More news on Xbox One backward compatibility games will be delivered by the company in the coming weeks.
