The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 details have been revealed along with the announcement of an edge-to-edge phone dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi Mix. Xiaomi revealed the curved design of the Mi Note 2 packed with 4K video support and a fingerprint scanner. Additionally, two other phones are also expected soon along with a 18K gold handset.
The official blog of MIUI reportedly revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will feature a 5.7 inch ultra thin flexible OLED display with full HD resolution. Latest images reveal a curved edge design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. Furthermore, the Mi Note 2 is covered with 3D glass at the front and at the back. The handset is available in Piano Black and Glacier Silver.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset that clocks in at 2.35GHz. The phone is available in three variants-a 4GB RAM handset with 64GB internal storage at $413, a 6GB RAM variant with 128GB internal storage at $487 and a Global edition at $516, according to report. However, both versions do not include a microSD card slot.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. In terms of the camera, the handset has a 22.56MP High Resolution rear camera with dual LED flash, 4K video support and Electronic Image Stabilizer. An 8MP Auto-focus front shooter is also included along with a non-removable 4,070mAH battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Meanwhile the Xiaomi Mi Mix is slated to feature a 6.4-inch edgeless design, 16MP rear and 5MP front camera, 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage, and a Snapdragon 821 chipset like the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Additionally, a Mi MIX Pro features an 18-Karat gold rim around the camera, 6GB RAM, 256GB internal storage and a fingerprint sensor. The Mi Mix costs $516 while the Mi MIX Pro is priced at $590.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is also spotted with a fingerprint scanner and a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor for the cameras. The handset is packed with NFC connectivity with Mi-Pay compatibility, USB Type-C, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/-AGPS and Wi-Fi 802.11ac.
