Xiaomi Mi VR Release Date, News & Update: Xiaomi Handsets Compatible Comes With Reduced Motion Sickness;Samsung Galaxy Note 7-Like Device Sold Out In 50 Sec

Xiaomi is expected to release a second VR headset in the market dubbed as the Mi VR. The device is slated to be compatible with several Xiaomi handsets along with the recently released Xiaomi Mi Note 2. On the other hand, the company reportedly sold out the Mi Note 2 in just 50 seconds with another handset coming along called the Mi Mix.

The Chinese device manufacturer previously made a mark in VR gaming with the Mi VR Play just a couple of months ago. The device is said to be analogous to the Google Cardboard. Moreover, Xiaomi rolled out the device for only 1 yuan or around $0.15 to the beta testers, according to report.

Xiaomi is believed to take things up a notch with its latest invention, the Mi VR. The device is said to be equipped with a dedicated motion sensor as well as system-level optimizations. The combination of both features is slated to deliver very low latency at around 16ms with reduced motion sickness in a smartphone.

The Xiaomi Mi VR is said to be analogous to the likes of the Samsung Gear VR as well as the Google Daydream View. The device is said to use mobile devices like the Mi 5, Mi 5s and and 5s Plus as a display. In addition, the device may also come with a 9-axis inertial motion controller similar to the Daydream controller. It should be noted that the device still features touch control support.

In other news, Xiaomi recently revealed a new smartphone with a curved display like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 reportedly sold out in a mere 50 seconds after it was launched. The device was made available through a flash sale on the company's website for those who pre-registered to purchase the latest phablet, Android Authority reported.

Xiaomi is expected to sell the second batch of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 on Nov. 8. In addition, the company will also launch the Mi Mix sporting a near bezel-less design on Nov. 4. It is speculated that the device will sell just as fast if not faster than the Mi Note 2. Watch Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Hands On
