"Skyrim" fans have been rejoicing since the past weekend now that "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" has come out, painting their favorite Tamriel continent in next-gen graphics. The rerelease of the game finally brings, among other things, modding capabilities to the console versions where it was only possible on PC. Of course, great HD graphics, too!
However, if you want a better "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" experience on the console, Express actually recommends that you play the Xbox One version over the PS4. Why, you ask? Simple: Xbox One modders have gotten to work and there are already, at least, twice as many mods for the game on the console than there are on PS4. The Xbox One version has 377 mods right now, while there are only 190 on PS4. One reason why this might be is because the Xbox One is allowed 5 GB of modding, while the PS4 only gets 1 GB.
Of course, the number of mods alone for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" shouldn't be the deciding factor of which console you want to play it on. If you have a particular console and want to play the game, get it by all means; just know that the Xbox One version has a lot more options for customization. However, it's also very likely that all the popular and important mods are on both platforms.
Meanwhile, if you're a diehard "Skyrim" fan and you want to play "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" a different way, here's a mod you need to try. Forbes suggests that you try the Live Another Life mod, in which you can start the game in a completely different scenario, not as the Dragonborn. It's available for all platforms, and seems like a good idea especially for those starting the game for the nth time.
