For those of you still playing Just Cause 2 on the PC, here's some good news. JC2-MP, the mod team behind the anticipated multiplayer mod for Just Cause 2, is having an open beta session this weekend.
The team plans to run the latest session for 48 hours. There is already a countdown timer on its official site set to be updated with the client download when it goes live. The modders appear to have the game developer's tacit endorsement with Christofer Sundberg, founder of Avalanche Studios, tweeting "Hey @jc2mpdev! I hope things are going well. Keep up the awesome work!"
As of now, Just Cause 2 multiplayer is unreleased and the final versions of the client or server are also awaiting a release date. However, a download will only happen during a public beta.
Fans can only join the server when there is a public beta test going on, and if there is a public test running, it will show up on the site.
