Following the disastrous debut of then-hotly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 7, it's pretty understandable that customers will feel apprehensive toward a successor, confirmed to be Samsung Galaxy Note 8. However, Samsung continues to make sure that it provides the best post-release service it can give to its loyal customers. It has been reported that the South Korean tech giant is even willing to trade in Note 7 for Note 8 once it arrives next year.
After the recent massive recall of the Galaxy Note 7, some fans thought that it would be the end of the Galaxy Note series. On the contrary, successor Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is bound to happen after all. According to the company's statement relayed by Reuters, Note 7 owners can trade their devices with Galaxy S7 units, which will ultimately allow them to trade it in for a Note 8 or an S8 at half the price via Samsung's update program. This seemingly hinted that the Note series will continue despite reports of it being discontinued.
Official details of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 have not been released but according to CNet, it might not be called Note 8 to avoid confusion with Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 released in 2013. As for the specs, the Note 8 is rumored to carry either a Snapdragon 830 or an Exynos 8895 processor. It could also come with a 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM. Apart from the machine under the hood, it is also speculated that the phablet will retain some of the features found in Note 7, such as the Always-On display.
Supporters also assume that the company will prioritize the safety of Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The company is assumed to dedicate their time to finding a solution to the explosion problem of the recalled Note 7. At the moment, Samsung still doesn't have an answer as to why the problem with the Note 7 occurred. Since Note 8's 2017 launch has been confirmed, it's only a matter of time before consumers will know why Note 7 exploded.
