Just a week ahead of the highly anticipated release of Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro, Naughty Dog has gone ahead and released Update 1.07 for "The Last of Us: Remastered." The latest update coming from the studio provides support for HDR and PlayStation 4 Pro.
According to Gamespot, Update 1.07 for "The Last of Us: Remastered" also includes "improved quality of stereo audio," making the game even more exciting for fans and gamers who are looking to play on PlayStation 4 Pro. Naughty Dog previously announced that "The Last of Us: Remastered" is set to natively run in 4K for those playing on PlayStation 4 console. However, this will remain in 30FPS, compared to the 60FPS on PlayStation 4 Pro, which will limit gamers to a 1080p display resolution.
According to PlayStation Lifestyle, Update 1.07 for "The Last of Us: Remastered" is sized at 350MB. The Naughty Dog action-adventure survival horror video game was released in 2013, during which it won lots of Game of the Year awards. Since then, fans have been clamoring for a sequel, which has long been rumored to be in development.
"The Last of Us: Remastered" was released in 2014, during which new features were added to the game. Such features included improved graphics, increased draw distance, higher frame rate, and an upgraded combat mechanic. Gamers were also treated to advanced audio options, audio commentary, as well as a Photo Mode and additional maps to explore.
Meanwhile, fans who are looking to purchase the PlayStation 4 Pro to play "The Last of Us: Remastered" should know that the console will debut this November 10 in retailers. It has a $400 price tag and features a 1TB hard drive. It will not have the 4K Blu-ray player, however, but fans will be able to enjoy the benefits of the doubled GPU power.
