Percy Harvin Comeback: Signs With The Buffalo Bills

Percy Harvin Comeback: Signs With The Buffalo Bills

Percy Harvin signs with Buffalo Bills as he comes out of retirement. He is set to play the 2016 season with the team according to Greg Barnett, his agent.

Harvin played in the 2015 season with the Bills, but ended up in the injured reserve due to a hip and knee injury after five games. He is known to be a dynamic guy on the field and according to Rex Ryan, Harvin's coach with the Jets and in Buffalos, with the Percy Harvin comeback they are looking forward to "catch lightning in a bottle" .

Ryan also adds that Percy is a hard worker. He is the type of guy who will go full speed and you'll sometimes need to back him down a little bit. Frustrations were high last year since he was injured and couldn't contribute as much as wanted to the team. Now that he had some much needed time away from the game to get healed up, a Percy Harvin comeback is definitely sure.

The Percy Harvin comeback is so timely since the Bills have been facing a major challenge in their receiver's line-up. As one of the top receivers himself, Harvin can finally help out his battered teammates.

Quarterback Tyrod Taylor expressed that he was definitely excited for the Percy Harvin comeback. Taylor occasionally played basketball and football with Harvin in highschool.

Before the Percy Harvin comeback, The Bills was the third team in a span of two years for Harvin. In 2014, he was traded to the New York Jets by the Seattle Seahawks. His season ended with a 955 all-purpose yards over eight games. Harvin had 22 touchdowns, 351 catches for 4020 yards, 916 rushing yards with five touchdowns on the ground, prior to his retirement. Added to this, he also scored touchdowns as he ran back five kick returns.

The Percy Harvin comeback might come sooner since he is already familiar with the Bills offense. When the team plays against the Seahawks on Monday Night Football, it is possible that he will be allowed to take the field.

Sammy Atkins and Greg Salas, both receivers for the Bills, are currently on injured reserve. Brandon Tate is currently following the league's concussion protocol while Robert Woods currently has an injured foot. With all of these concerns, The Bills offense and special teams are definitely looking forward to the Percy Harvin comeback.
