The "Fast & Furious" movie franchise is almost never complete without Paul Walker. On its eighth installment, the character of the deceased actor is set to return. Will Paul Walker's brother once again grace the filming of "Fast & Furious 8" to relive the actor's character?
Paul Walker and the 'Fast & Furious' Franchise
"Fast and Furious" is one of the most successful, highly rated and highest grossing movie franchises of all time in Hollywood. With stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in its wing, this does not come as a surprise. What was shocking though was Walker's untimely demise in an ironic car accident while production for the seventh installment was still ongoing. What should we expect in "Fast & Furious 8" movie?
The production team solved Walker's absence during filming with post-production technology and his brother filling in for his role. The seeming tribute to the deceased actor as his final project, along with the amazing production value of "Fast and Furious 7," it rose to be one of the highest grossing films in the franchise. As it turns out, however, that movie was not Walker's swan song and more are expected in "Fast & Furious 8" movie?
Moving On From Walker
As ambitious as it may be, "Fast & Furious 8" is once again aiming to bring Walker's character in the mix. The film is already in the works for a 2017 release. Walker's appearance in the seventh installment was made available through technology, but it was a short moment. For the "Fast & Furious 8" though, all his appearances would have to be remastered.
In a statement, however, fans of "Fast & Furious 8" may be seeing a lot less Walker than they hoped for. The actor's family has decided not to go down the similar road that the film went through in the previous installment. As Walker's character has already been given a concluding scene, Walker was given the proper exit he ultimately deserves.
"Fast & Furious 8" will be seeing the characters moving forward with their own storylines. The cast and crew would definitely be honoring Walker in some way, but they will definitely move forward despite his absence. Everyone in the cast would be reprising their roles for "Fast and Furious 8."
"Fast & Furious 8" will be released on April 2017, with Vin Diesel confident that the franchise will be gaining an Oscar for the first time. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more "Fast & Furious 8" movie news and updates!
