"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" gamers longing for the second beta need not pre-order the game anymore to play on the Xbox One. Apparently, the game developers have opened the beta to all players even without preordering. The "Infinite Warfare" team have also teased the terminal map from the "Modern Warfare 2" to arrive in the game.
Previously, Activision required "Infinite Warfare" players to preorder the game prior to playing the first "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" beta. On that note, recently on the "Call of Duty" Twitter page, the developers have announced that the "Infinite Warfare" beta has been opened for all Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players. The beta may be downloaded on PSN and the Xbox Live Store, and played until 10 a.m. PT on Oct. 24. In addition, the beta players will also be getting the bonus Beta Calling Card for participating in the open beta.
It is expected that the free open beta of the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will encourage the player population to reach a record high. This is said to be a good test for "Infinity Ward" to gauge how well the servers can hold up. While PS4 owners were also given access to the open beta, PC players may have to wait until the full game is released this November since there is no beta planned for them. Furthermore, it should be noted that the beta requires 17.6GB free space on PS4 and 18.82 GB on the Xbox One, Game Espresso reported.
In other news, the terminal map from the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" has been revisited and revamped by the developers of the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" for the game. A trailer unveiling the updated map revealed squads running through the terminal located in space. The trailer also unveiled hyperkinetic movement and new technologies showing players running on walls, sending drones as well as a one-man laser turret, according to report.
The "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will be featuring the terminal map at the launch date itself for PS4, Xbox One and PC users. The map will come with no extra cost to all PS4 players and to those who pre-order the game on the Xbox One. The full game itself will be released on Nov. 4.
