"Titanfall 2" has finally launched itself to the public and while the expectations of the fans are immensely high, the results on how it sold may not say the same. That being said, statistics are already contradictory to what the fans may have anticipated-especially after a triumphant first game.
As Respawn Entertainment promised the rising of "Titanfall 2" will be one for the books, the numbers seem to be saying otherwise. Given that "Titanfall" created quite the staple, disappointment could be inevitable and basing on the sales count to date, there is a lot to catch up on.
According to reviews done by Eurogamer, "Titanfall 2" was notably lower than what the predecessor made in the UK, as per Chart-Track references. Despite the said program tracking only physical sales of the game, it was still not quite up to par with the original's launch record. Worse, the game was already appraised from the get-go but landed itself on the short end of the stick.
Reports stated that "Titanfall 2" positioned 4th in the UK chart, even with the consideration of digital sales. For those unaware, the classic "Titanfall" game was released for the Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC respectively, whereas the successor is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A common variable for both games is that their physical sales have not been considered remarkable.
Nonetheless, fans can attest that "Titanfall 2" does have some positive factors to consider respectively, such as the appraised high-octane action and multiplayer perks. One slight blame and factor to point out is that Respawn's title is being cast aside by two other powerhouse shooters for this year, namely "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" and "Battlefield 1."
Regardless of the reason as to why "Titanfall 2" may have slipped off the charts early, fans can still check the game out for themselves and assess it from there. That being said, keep posted for more news and updates here at GamenGuide.
