Apple has just announced the new MacBook Pro 2016 during its recent tech event and fans could no longer wait for it to come out in the market. Compared to the previous iteration of the popular laptop line, the new device certainly has several major upgrades worth noting. It's surprising that most of the rumors that circulated before its announcement came out to true including the laptop's thinner and lighter design.
The new MacBook Pro 2016 will be available in different variations, which will differ in sizes - the 13-inch model and the 15-inch variant. According to reports, the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2016 weighs at 1.37 kg and measures at 1.49 x 30.41 x 21.24 cm. On the other hand the new 15-inch MacBook Pro 2016 weighs at only 1.83 kg, which is significantly lighter than the 2.04 kg of the previous iteration.
Although the new MacBook Pro 2016 poses several improvements from its predecessor, the two versions have almost similar physical design. They both feature aluminum enclosure with LED-backlit display and interested buyers can choose from space grey or silver color options.
One of the major new features of the MacBook Pro 2016 is its Touch Bar, which is a replacement for the traditional function keys right above the keyboard. According to reports, Apple designer, Jony Ive, recently spoken about the development of the new feature, which has given the team it share of challenges.
"As has always been the way, we develop designs as quickly as we possibly can. This is a particularly difficult prototype because it required a fairly mature software environment, and a fairly mature and sophisticated hardware prototype, to really be able to figure out whether these ideas were valuable or not."
According to Value Walk, the new MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to be more expensive than the previous iteration. According to the publication the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2016 will be sold at $1,799, which is $500 more than last year's entry level MacBook laptop. On the other hand, the larger MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to carry a $2,399 price tag. Stay tuned for more news and updates about the new MacBook Pro 2016.
