A year after its launch, Microsoft and 343 Industries' "Halo 5: Guardians" still pose a strong gamer base and ever-increasing players. And as a gift to everyone who's stayed loyal to the franchise, the studio has been continuously supporting and uploading new content to make sure players have something to keep looking forward to in the game. As a result, Microsoft has delivered nine new updates, six new game modes and several free REQ items.

In a blog post, Josh Holmes said "Halo 5: Guardians" still has a lot of new support and expansions in its pipeline. Among these, he said, was the ability to browse and join live custom games on Windows 10 PC and XBox One. They're also set to introduce maps in the Warzone Firefight rotation as well as new canvasses. As for "Halo 5" and "Halo 5: Forge," the team is also working on improving its matchmaking.
While Holmes was not able to give a definite date for the launch of these new "Halo 5: Guardians" improvements, he said they would arrive in the not-so-distant future. However, it may take a while since he also admitted that they're not quite done with the refreshes yet.
Halloween surprises
Meanwhile, for players who are looking to spend the Halloween season having some "Halo 5: Guardians" fun, expect some playlist refreshes especially with the Halloween Infection Refresh.
