Google Pixel versus iPhone 7: Which Smartphone is Better? Specs, Features Prices, Hardware, Upgrades & More Compared! Which Should You Buy? [COMPARISON]

The quality of the smartphones released this year are truly topnotch, barring the now-defunct line of flame-catching Samsung Galaxy Note 7s. Among the smartphones currently available on the market, the Google Pixel and Apple's iPhone 7, are arguably two of the best among the pack, as they embody both the purest forms of the Android and Apple O.

But for people who wish to switch phones, which phone is the better choice? Would a $500-odd Android smartphone like the Google Pixel stack up against a $700 iPhone 7? Here's everything you need to know about the Google Pixel versus the Apple iPhone 7: from specs and features, upgrades, prices, among others.

Specs and hardware

As noted by Stuff, The Google Pixel proudly touts the title "first-ever 100 percent Google-designed phone," since Google phones are usually aided by companies such as Huawei and HTC. It packs a 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage in its 5-inch body, with an AMOLED capacitative touchscreen with a 441 pixel density. It runs on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat and sports a 12- and 8-megapixel camera, respectively.

Like the Google Pixel, the Apple iPhone 7 also comes with only the latest Apple has to offer. It sports the new Apple A10 Fusion with 2GB RAM and three internal storage variants. It has a 4.7-inch Retina LCD and a 12- and 7-megapixel front and rear shooters, while the iPhone 7 Plus is the first Apple iPhone to have a dual-camera system.

Upgrades and other features

In terms of handset features, both the Google Pixel and the iPhone 7 share most of them. Both have fingerprint scanners and are splash and/or water-resistant. However, Google Pixel offers unlimited storage for original photos and videos as well as the new Google Assistant. As for the iPhone 7, its most talked-about feature is the absence of headphone jacks in favor of lightning ports. For the most part, however, the iPhone 7 merely offer refinements from its previous iterations, as noted by KnowYourMobile.

Price

As earlier mentioned, the Google Pixel leans more on the affordable side, which is a plus given its competitive specs. The iPhone 7 costs around $650 for its lower-end handset, while the Google Pixel costs around $599.
