"Titanfall 2" and "Call of Duty" are both designed by Jason West and Vince Zampella. However, the creators of the two video games find it very hard to beat their own "Call of Duty," the top-selling video game last year in the United States. This makes it a legendary video game leaving the newly-released "Titanfall 2" to cut the sales forecast by one-third to six million units.
According to The Economics Times, the video game "Titanfall 2" was released on Friday and made available for Play Station and Xbox One. It allows you to be in a futuristic and revolutionary world as a mechanized titan to fight and rip off everything in sight. It scored very well in terms of gameplay. However, its date of release was too close to the "Battlefield 1" that was released last week and the new "Call of Duty" that is due on November 4. Hence, its timing was very bad.
The new game released leads to the biggest loss of Electronic Arts Incorporated's shares in almost nine months. In fact, the tracking record of purchases in Amazon.com Incorporated has made Doug Creutz, a Cowen & Co. analyst, to lower his rating for the newly-released "Titanfall 2" by more than one-third to six million units.
Bloomberg said that "Titanfall 2" caused the share sales of Electronic Arts to fall 4 percent to $79.45 in New York. The stocks were up 20 percent this year through Thursday. Activision saw its share value fall by about 1 percent to $43.32. With this, Electronic Arts Inc. seems to have really misfired the video game and slowly shot its own foot. Despite the loss, Dusty Welch, the chief operating officer of West and Zampella's design studio was pleased with the release.
