The MacBook Pro 2016 was a complete stunner when it was revealed earlier this week. Its highlight was, no doubt, the feature-packed Touch Bar.
The strip of touchscreen keys on top of the actual keyboard was designed to take the place of the function keys found in old Apple laptop models. The buttons that will reflect on the Touch Bar will depend on the software being used on the MacBook Pro 2016.
Many are curious what functions can the Touch Bar do and how useful it can be to an Apple laptop user. Here are some of its greatest functions:
1. Editing photos and videos
Cropping or adjusting photos and editing videos can be done in just a slide of a finger. Working on photo and video projects will be made easier with the Touch Bar which can be used to filter photos or quickly go through a video being edited on the Final Cut Pro.
2. Doing Microsoft documents
Powerpoint presentations, excel files and even word documents will also be easier to do since the keys on the Task Bar includes some of the most useful functions when working on documents. These include font adjustment, formulas for cells and even paragraph settings.
3. Adding emojis
When using the the Messages application, the Touch Bar can be utilized for scrolling through the available emojis and choosing one for a text message or an iMessage. The functionality is an exciting addition to make conversations more fun.
4. Using the Touch ID
This button can be found on the right side of the Touch Bar. Users can simply key in their fingerprints to pay for their purchases online or when logging into their Apple accounts.
5. Browsing the web
Checking out webpages will also be a breeze with the help of the Touch Bar which contain functions to open a new tab and going back to previous pages. The bookmarks users have saved can also be accessed immediately.
The newly designed MacBook Pro 2016 can be bought for a price beginning at $1,499. Laptops are expected to be shipped two to three weeks after Apple's announcement.
