During the Paris Games Week event, Square Enix announced that "Final Fantasy XV" will offer a multiplayer co-op online. It will be a part of the action role-playing video game's Downloadable Content offerings. Three expansion packs that center on Prompto Gladious and Ignis are on the way.
The co-op is called "Comrades," the game mode is only available through the DLC pass of "Final Fantasy XV" that will cost players $25. Square Enix will also unify the three expansion packs that centers on Promto, Gladiolus and Ignis.
The Gladiolus episode will come out first, episode Ignis will the second and then with episode Prompto. These "Final Fantasy XV" expansions can also be purchased individually which the developers said that will allow you to play the game in a "completely new way".
In a press release by Square Enix reported by GameSpot, they said that the main focus of the season pass is the three original episodes that take place during the events of "Final Fantasy XV". Each episode allows players to take control of one of the Noctis' comrades in all-new adventures that offer unique play styles tailored to each character.
"Final Fantasy XV" players can explore previously unseen areas filled with new monsters. They can even obtain weapons which can later be used in the main game. Up to four "Final Fantasy" characters are playable in the online co-op mode.
As confirmed by Square Enix, "Final Fantasy XV" had "gone gold" which means that development of the game's base is already finished. The game had been developed in one form for over a decade which marks as an achievement to the developers.
Square Enix released a CG short film inspired by "The Final Fantasy XV" game which is entitled as "Omen". "Final Fantasy XV" comes out on November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can watch the short film below.
