Google Play has been thoroughly redesigned and it looks great.
The major design overhaul follows leaks on the web that offered short glimpses of the future that Google was planning for its Play Store.
The basic idea of this upgrade is to simplify the way the Play Store works. The overhaul now offers clean, light text and large images to grab the user’s attention and Google says the changes will make the purchasing process easier than it had been.
“The new design focuses on bigger images that jump off the page. Similarly themed content is grouped together so you can hone in on a magazine to read or an app to try. As you move down the page, new recommendations continue to appear so there is always more to see and explore,” Google writes. “We’ve also simplified purchasing so you can breeze through checkout and get to enjoying your movie rental or other content.”
The new Google Play 4.0.25 APK is ready for side-loading.
The new APK looks like it is the official, fully-affiliated release, and users can install it without fear of damaging their Android devices. Any Android phone or tablet currently running Froyo or later should be fine enough for this APK to work.
The featured content may not yet be available outside US at the moment, but the app itself should work just fine.
