One of the biggest online games retailer, Steam, will be soon offering their games at a discounted price. The upcoming event will include Splinter Cell and the rest of the franchise along with a few other games. There will be packages, giving fans further choices on how to save money.
The main highlight of the weekend sale that will end until Monday morning is the Splinter Cell series. Splinter Cell: Blacklist can now be bought for only $7.50 while the rest can be purchased as a bundle. The Echelon bundle will only cost $10 and will already include Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Splinter Cell: Conviction. Buying the bundle will save fans $2.50 on the total price compared to purchasing the games individually in their current sale price. Nevertheless, gamers who already have a copy of the other games or just want one title can purchase them separately.
Other games fans will be looking forward for the weekend sale include The Solus Project, The Banner Saga, Guild of Dungeoneering, Armikrog and Skyshine's Bedlam, according to Gamespot. More games will be receiving a slash on their prices in the future as Steam already has multiple sale events planned ahead, though, further information on some of them are yet to be announced. Nevertheless, various sites already have a countdown timer whenever a new date is announced. One of the most likely events to solidify is the Black Friday Steam Sale that occurs every year, according to The BitBag.
The Steam sale season is one of the most anticipated times of the year by fans. Titles receive price slashes as much as half the original price. In 2015, the months of November and December made approximately $300 and $400 million respectively, the average discount on those games was a little bit above 50%.
