‘Splinter Cell: Blacklist’ Fifth Freedom Collector’s Edition Revealed: What’s Inside The Box?

“Splinter Cell: Blacklist” will be offering a brand new Fifth Freedom Collector’s Edition that will arrive with all kinds of goodies.

The new collector’s edition bundle from Ubisoft will be the latest offering from the company after the introduction of the previously announced Paladin Collector’s Edition that came with a remote control plane that could fly over 35 MPH with a radius of over 250 feet, modeled after Sam Fisher’s in-game plane.

The Fifth Freedom Collector’s Edition has a boatload of content:

  • 24 cm Sam Fisher figurine
  • 96-page graphic novel 'Splinter Cell Echoes'
  • Steelbook
  • Collector Box
  • Unlockable content: 'Dead Coast' and 'Billionaire's Yacht' folders, extra equipment, suits and weapons

Notably the content on offer with Fifth Freedom is more or less similar to the Paladin Collector’s Edition apart from the remote control plane.

The graphic novel for the Paladin edition had an 88-page 'Splinter Cell Echoes' comic, alongside a limited edition game poster. However, it only offered Billionaire's Yacht co-op map as compared to the Fifth Freedom and the Upper Echelon Pack.

On the other hand, pre-ordering the game would get you Gold Sonar Goggles for tactical imaging, the Upper Echelon Suit for better protection against enemy fire and seamlessly blending into the shadows, and the Dead Coast co-op map.

“Splinter Cell: Blacklist” is currently in development and will release on Aug 22 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. The game will continue the story from “Conviction” and see Sam Fisher forming a new intelligence team to get rid of a new threat called “The Blacklist.”
