"Girl Meets World" season 4 is getting a lot of positive attention as of late. Recent speculations suggest that the "Boy Meets World" spinoff may finally get a renewal from Disney Channel. More so, there are hints that writers may create mature scenes for Maya and Riley. Should fans expect this to happen?
'Girl Meets World' Season 4 Gets Renewed?
Fans are pushing for "Girl Meets World" season 4 to get aired on Disney Channel despite the many cancellation rumors. The network hasn't made any announcements as of date regarding its renewal plans for the spinoff series.
However, fans are keeping their fingers crossed that "Girl Meets World" season 4 gets aired, even the cast themselves are hoping for the same. Previous reports of "Girl Meets World" season 4 from GamenGuide reported a retweet posted by August Maturo earlier this month.
The tweet originally coming from "Girl Meets World" writers' Twitter account showed possible titles for the upcoming season. At the last part of the tweet, the last episode is shown as "Goodbye" making fans wonder if the series will end with "Girl Meets World" season 4.
More Mature Scenes For Maya & Riley?
As part of fans efforts to make sure "Girl Meets World" season 4 gets aired, they filed a petition at change.org led by Ashley Carter. According to the proponent of the petition, Disney Channel will lose a lot of viewers if they cancel the series.
As of the moment, stars of "Girl Meets World" season 4, Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter, are turning their attention to other projects according to The New York Times. In fact, Blanchard joined a six-minute short film titled "The Realest Real," which was directed by Carrie Brownstein (Portlandia), Natasha Lyonne (OITNB) and Mahershala Ali (House of Cards).
Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter is busy with her growing music career. "Girl Meets World" season 4 is rumored to give Blanchard and Sabrina more mature roles if ever it gets aired.
This is one of the reasons Disney Channel is in doubt of renewing "Girl Meets World" season 4. Do you think mature scenes and topics are okay to show in the network? Do you believe the series gets aired next year? Let us know what you think by leaving your comments below.
