Wii U Signs Of Life: Nintendo Apologizes For Low 'Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate' Stock

The Wii U, since its somewhat successful launch in December, has been taking a very slow trip to the hospital accompanied by some very confused Emergency Response Team members. Signs of life are all they're looking for, and Nintendo UK President Satoru Shibata has provided a small blip on the heart monitor.

Shibata took to Twitter today to apologize for low "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" stock at UK retailers both online and retail, assuring hopeful buyers copies of both the Wii U and 3DS versions would be shipped out soon.

And as the EMTs looked on, hearing that hopeful sound - beep, beep - they were assured the Wii U was not dead. Just in a coma.

It a newsy sense, it's no biggie. It just says Nintendo was unprepared for the high-demand of "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate" in that region. Generally "Monster Hunter" is a Japan-only craze, but it seems the franchise is slowly spreading further West. But when was the last time you heard demand was too high for a Wii U game? Never. You've never heard that before.

Will Nintendo, the Wii U's father, pull the plug before the Wii U, the son Nintendo never did find redemption with after years of neglect, finds the strength to rise up? Check back next holiday season to find out.
