Rockstar Games has finally silenced years of speculation from fans regarding the existence of "Red Dead Redemption 2." After releasing teasers, the game studio finally confirmed that the game will come out sometime in fall 2017. Following this confirmation, speculations about what the game will be about have become stronger as fans are eager to know more details.
Not much is known about "Red Dead Redemption 2" gameplay at the moment. Rockstar only teased one image featuring cowboys with the crimson sky behind them. Although the studio has already released the trailer showcasing the game environment, there isn't any information on the story or the characters. Now, one theory suggests that this upcoming game might be tied to the other previous "Red Dead" games.
According to ScreenRant, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will serve as the game link to "Red Dead Revolver" and "Red Dead Redemption." The publication scrutinized the teaser image from Rockstar and found that all of them existed in the previous games, which suggests that Rockstar could connect all three games and reveal a deeper story. Although this would be an interesting take, this theory hasn't been confirmed.
With "Red Dead Redemption 2" officially confirmed, there's now a lot of talk surrounding the title. The game is expected to follow in the footsteps of "GTA 5 Online." Rockstar is currently enjoying the success of the latter title but with a hint that "RDR 2" could have an online-multiplayer mode, this success could be doubled. Reports have it that parent company, Take-Two Interactive has already registered the domain Red Dead Online.
An online mode for a "Red Dead" game is nothing new as "Red Dead Redemption" already offered this feature. However, there is still room for improvement that will work for "Red Dead Redemption 2" and make people fall in love more with the franchise. More details about the sequel are expected to be announced in the coming months. "Red Dead Redemption 2" is slated to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in fall 2017.
