Viewers will have a better glimpse of the new villain of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 when the show returns on Friday. The season premiere introduced the siren named Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) and the kind of terror the residents of Mystic Falls have to deal with in the new season.
In the video promo for the second episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 titled "Today Will Be Different", Sybil can be seen using Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) as her personal loyal soldiers who keep bringing her supper. It will not be the everyday or ordinary meal though. Sybil takes innocent people for dinner. The deaths of these poor people seem to make her more powerful.
It is also indicated in the promo of the "The Vampire Diaries" episode that Sybil has the ability to control the minds of Damon and Enzo. She can be seen interrupting Damon's memories of his beloved Elena (Nina Dobrev) who appears to be a force that can make Damon fight Sybil's ability to control his mind.
According to "The Vampire Diaries" spoilers for the episode, Damon will successfully trick Sybil into thinking that she has full control over him. However, he will be able to turn off his mental switch so the siren villain will not have power over his memories.
But, later in the upcoming episode of "The Vampire Diaries", Sybil will be able to have access to Damon's deepest concerns reports TV Fanatic. This can give her the opportunity to mess with his memories in order to keep Damon under her control. Not enough details about Sybil have been revealed yet for viewers to know what really is in Sybil's mind.
In an interview with TV Line, "The Vampire Diaries" actors Somerhalder and Paul Wesley shared that Sybil will be bringing judgement day to the series' final season. Wesley added the season is really about the conclusion of the evil sins some of the show's characters must pay for.
Hopefully, more details about Sybil and what she is bringing into "The Vampire Diaries" will be brought to light in the second episode of Season 8. New episodes of the final season of the series airs every Friday on The CW.
