Bethesda's "Dishonored 2" is one of the most hotly anticipated video games of the year, and its newly released trailer served only to fan the excitement for the latest installation of the franchise. This time, the new "Dishonored 2" trailer focused on Emily Kaldwin, one of the game's playable protagonist, and shed light on her motivations in the game.
Emily Kaldwin's rise to the empire
The basic principle of "Dishonored 2" is to follow Emily and her father, Corvo Attano, as they embark on a dangerous mission to reclaim back the empire. "Dishonored 2" takes place 15 years after the events of the first game, and finds the Empire of Isles thrown into chaos as Emily is deposed from her rightful place on the throne.
Stephen Russell voices Corvo Attano, while Erica Luttrell voices Emily in the upcoming "Dishonored 2." The game stirs things up a bit by giving players another option of a playable character, unlike in the Dishonored game where they can only control Corvo. This also gives players additional incentive to play the game again after completing one walkthrough, according to PCPower Play.
New abilities and powers
The new video also displayed some of Emily's new abilities on "Dishonored 2," like far reach, which allows her to take her enemies from a distance. Another is domino, which allows her to link the fates of enemies such that if she attacks one, the inflicted damage applies to the other tagged foes as well. Other abilities of Emily's include Shadow Walk, which lets players shift into shadow form, as well as Doppelganger, which summons an Emily clone to fight in her stead.
