"Dishonored 2" is set to launch soon and Bethesda has released a new live-action trailer. The video, titled "Take Back What's Yours," features the playable characters in "Dishonored 2," namely Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano.
Engadget reported that the "Dishonored 2" live-action trailer focused on revenge. The two-minute clip could almost pass for a live-action movie trailer.
Emily, the princess that was kidnapped and rescued, narrated how she is seeking vengeance. Her enemies killed her mother, seized her kingdom and framed her friend for murder. The friend she was referring to is Corvo, the bodyguard assassin who will also return in "Dishonored 2."
GameSpot noted that in the "Dishonored 2" video, Emily and Corvo were shown roaming the streets and moving up buildings. Emily was wearing a mask and appeared in the form of smoke as she took down numerous enemies.
Corvo also showcased his special abilities as they went back to the place where they were initially cornered. The end scene of the "Dishonored 2" video featured Emily confronting the woman who caused her so much pain, and she vowed to have her revenge soon. A version of the "Dishonored 2" trailer was also aired during the NFL games on Sunday on network TV.
"Dishonored 2" seems to be relying on the key elements that made the original game a hit, such as providing several choices on how to play the game and making crucial decisions. However, "Dishonored 2" will most likely offer more of these options, including numerous ways to trick or take down enemies and casual use of time travel.
"Dishonored 2" players can take on the role of either Emily or Corvo. The story remains the same, although it unfolds in two unique perspectives. The heroes will be facing new enemies and bosses in Karnaca.
"Dishonored 2" is set to be released on Nov. 11, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Stephen Russell voiced Corvo, while Erica Lutrell voiced Emily. Pre-ordering for "Dishonored 2" is currently available, which allows gamers to play one day before the big launch. Those who pre-order will also get the "Dishonored: Definitive Edition" for free.
