During an interview with Daisy Ridley who plays Rey, she hints the possibility of some theories, one of which says that she came from a lineage of Obi-Wan Kenobi. There was also the mention of Jyn Erso, the protagonist of 'Star Wars: Rogue One'. Ridley did not confirm nor deny the Obi-Wan theory, but did the match on the Jyn Erso theory and said that it won't work. Ridley then concluded the conversation with "let's see next year."
