Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, News & Update: LG G5-Like Removable Battery, New Modular Design To Revive Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Issues?

Samsung has been reportedly working on its new flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S8. The Korean giant company is expected to release the device in the first quarter of 2017. Some speculated that the smartphone will have a removable battery.

The controversial Samsung Galaxy Note 7 could have brought a lot of money for the company. But the battery-related issues that it caused to a lot of users made Samsung to recall all the Note 7 units. While the company has already announced Note 7 owners to return their phones, approximately 1.9 million Note 7 devices are still need to be returned. Samsung has not given any official statement regarding the primary cause of Note 7 battery explosion.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5, on the other hand, came out with a brand new design. It flaunts a metallic frame in between the glass panels on both front and rear. It was the very first Note series phone to come with a non-removable battery. Both Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S7 also have non-removable battery feature.

If the Korean company had used removable batteries on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, it could have tried only recalling the defective batteries. Hence, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is now speculated to have a removable battery.

Moreover,  it is more likely to make the company adopt a new design for the rumored, upcoming flagship smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy S8 might possibly feature a modular design in order to house a removable battery just like the LG G5, PC World reported.

Meanwhile, Samsung has announced today the very first 8GB LPDDR4 DRAM package in the world, which is a memory chip with doubled capacity and speed of a regular DRAM found in PCs. It uses a cutting edge, 10-nanometer-class process technology, making it twice the capacity of the old 20-nanometer process chips.

Going back to the Samsung Galaxy S8, the Korean giant is now rumored to be after multiple suppliers of battery, which does not exclude the LG Chem. The deal between the two big companies, however, is not officially confirmed yet. Watch video about SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 - SPECS, PRICE, RELEASE DATE RUMOURS here:
