Bandai Namco recently announced that Mitsuki will be a playable character in the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" Road to Boruto expansion. Sarada Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki will also be playable characters in the Road to Boruto expansion.
Naruto video games blog stated that Mitsuki will become available as a playable character in the Road to Boruto expansion, in response to several requests from fans. Mitsuki, the son of Orochimaru, harnesses huge potential and his talent in the Ninja Arts also make him a very useful member to Team Konohamaru. The team will collaborate with the exceptional Team Ultimate Jutsu, where the strength of every member will create a powerful combo.
Aside from the Road to Boruto expansion, Bandai Namco Europe also announced that they will launch a full edition. This consists of the main game, "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," all three-post launch DLCs, and the Road to Boruto expansion. The three DLCs include the Sound Four Ninjas, costumes and two adventures mode scenarios. Bandai Namco America has yet to make the same announcement.
Saiyan Island stated that "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" Road to Boruto will come to Japan and Europe as a full standalone game for players to purchase in-store aside from the DLC expansion pack for the main game. A few years ago, Bandai Namco featured the same options for "Naruto Storm 3: Full Burst".
Initially, "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" Road to Boruto was supposed to be a DLC-only expansion pack, but Bandai Namco decided to feature a full edition after several fans requested for it. Depending on the demand, the Road to Boruto full version may become available in the United States too.
New screenshots of Team Konohamaru in the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" Road to Boruto expansion also surfaced recently, featuring Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki and Konohamaru Sarutobi. Adult Konohamaru may not be a playable character, but part of the jutsu.
The "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" Road to Boruto expansion will launch on Feb. 3, 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC at a retail price of $19.99. More playable characters and bonuses are expected to be unveiled in the weeks leading up to the big release.
