The Nintendo Switch has been revealed and the game console did get its fair share of attention. Moving forward, however, most are more concerned on what games the company has planned. One game that was ironically shown was that trailer for “Skyrim Special Edition” which comes out next week. Is it lined up as well?
The answer to that right now is sketchy with Bethesda playing it safe when asked to comment on “Skyrim Special Edition” appearing for the Nintendo Switch, GamesIndustrybizz.com reported. Despite it being a remastered version, third party game titles are expected to be added for obvious reasons. The most glaring are, of course, the fact that the game will be playable on the PS4 and Xbox One.
The only thing prominent right now is that both Bethesda and Nintendo have an open line of communication, Slash Gear reported. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that “Skyrim Special Edition” is a done deal and pegged for release on the Nintendo Switch. The best bet is to look forward once the console is officially made available for purchase in 2017.
It does seem odd why the official trailer would appear on the Nintendo Switch. Then again, it was the perfect piece to show off since the remastered version could put the graphics rendering prowess of the Nintendo Switch to the test. As for the game proper, both companies will likely take it one step at a time. “Skyrim Special Edition” needs to debut first, something happening next week. From there, the wait for the Nintendo Switch will be next, something happening in March 2017.
With those plot points given, Bethesda and Nintendo will be besieged by queries on whether “Skyrim Special Edition” will make it to the Nintendo Switch. It may take some time considering the company may prioritize its patented game titles. Looking through that sequence, it may take some time to see “Skyrim Special Edition” and other third-party game titles to be seen on the Nintendo Switch.
