The first ever "Pokemon Go" event may take place in time for Halloween on October 31st. In the official Facebook page of Pokemon Go, they had given a possible hint of the event. Encouraging players that the AR camera is best way to capture and share encounters with your friends. They are also telling players that they may encounter more Pokemons in the real world.
A Hunter was used in the photo in promoting the possible "Pokemon Go" event. Making fans sure that there will be more ghost-type Pokemons such as Gastly, Hunter and Gengar in the Halloween event.
Aside from this, "Pokemon Go" fans are also speculating that Niantic might also consider adding candy bonuses for these ghost type Pokemon paralleled to the Halloween tradition of giving out candies to the children.
The "Pokemon Go" event may take place for 24 hours, regardless of the regions. Trainers will have plenty of time to leave their home and can participate in the day.
In a report by Heavy, John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic said that the trainers will experience special "Pokemon Go" events. However, since the release of the game there hasn't been on event that occurred.
Hanke also added that the "Pokemon Go" event associated with the holiday brings players to gather together to achieve a common goal to catch a legendary Pokemon. "Ingress", the mobile game Niantic released before "Pokemon Go," has released some similar events during the holidays. John Hanke also said that we should expect something similar for "Pokemon Go".
Despite the recent decline of players "Pokemon Go" is still one of the most popular mobile game. "Pokemon Go" was reported to generate $600 million revenue in 90 days since it release. Giving a Halloween event in the game might give reasons for players who left the game to play again.
