Following the news that Firaxis is bringing "XCOM: Enemy Unknown" to iOS the company is set to put the popular turn-based title on the Mac.
Feral Interactive, a Mac develper, says their version of “XCOM: Enemy Unknown” will be available on April 25.
The Mac version of “XCOM: Enemy Unknown” is the Elite Edition, and will include the Slingshot and Elite Soldier Pack add-on content, alongside the Second Wave update.
The Second Wave update includes gameplay modifiers that aim to add further depth and flexibility to the campaign. Moreover, similar to the game’s Windows release, it will include LAN and online multiplayer modes.
“XCOM: Enemy Unknown - Elite Edition is a wonderfully accomplished game,” says David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. “Its mix of genres is perfectly balanced and the gameplay is superbly realized. Mac strategy fans won’t want to miss this experience.”
“XCOM: Enemy Unknown” Elite Edition for the Mac will be available in North America for $49.99, £34.99 in the UK and €44.99 throughout Europe.
The game will also be available online for direct download from a variety of digital partner sites worldwide including the Feral Store and the Mac App Store. Head over here to check out the official Web site.
