Players who tried to have the game confirmed the unavailability of it on the platform. It's still unclear if the early access of the game "Smash+Grab" has caused the end of "Sleeping Dogs" developer due to poor sales," Surghar Daily reported.

In addition, United Front Games producer, Jen Timms, posted a hint that the company is close on her Twitter account. "Currently mourning the best job I've ever had, and the most wonderful team I've ever worked with," she shared. "The end of a great era. Goodbye, UFG," she added. Her statement draws a conclusion that UFG is indeed shut down. However, the official statement of the "Sleeping Dogs" developer has yet to announce.

Also, they made some games for PlayStation, like "Little Big Planet Karting" and "ModNation Racers."  UFG also collaborated in developing games, such as "Halo: The Master Chief," "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" and the latest release "Smash+Grab."

According to Eurogamer, fans are hopeful for the official announcement of the rumored sequel for the game "Sleeping Dogs" since it was released in 2012. But, now the United Front Games is reportedly close, the sequel may still happen if Square Enix will continue the game franchise, "Smash+Grab."

Square Enix also owns the rights to the franchise of "Sleeping Dogs." Also, players of "Smash+Grab" are confused if ever the game will be back soon on Steam. While the Vancouver-based company remains silent about their reported closure, players for "Smash+Grab" and fans of "Sleeping Dogs" are definitely affected.
