The MacBook Pro 2016 and the revamped 13-inch MacBook Air are reportedly set for revelation by the Cupertino-based company in an event scheduled before the end of the month. Apple is rumored to take the stage on Oct. 24 and Oct. 27. The MacBook Pro 2016 is allegedly rolling out in two versions with powerful specs and features.
Not only will the two devices be unveiled this month, but Apple is allegedly also planning to ship the products to the retailers this month as well, 9to5Mac reported. However, it remains vague whether the 13-inch MacBook Air will be shipped alongside the MacBook Pro 2016. Moreover, it is said that the MacBook Pro 2016 will hit the market in two models, a 13-inch edition and a 15-inch variant as analyst Ming-chi Kuo predicted beforehand. Furthermore, the MacBook Pro 2016 is said to roll out slimmer and lighter than its predecessors.
On the other hand, Apple will allegedly discontinue the 11-inch MacBook Air once the MacBook Pro 2016 will be revealed, according to report. Other specs rumored for the MacOS Sierra-powered notebooks are the USB-C, Thunderbolt 3, Touch ID sensor on the power button, Magic Keyboard and OLED touch bar. Under the hood, the upcoming device packs the Intel Kaby Lake or Skylake processing chip. Rumor has it that the 15-inch device is also equipped with AMD Polaris 11 GPU.
In other news, MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to come with the 5K display. The netbook is also said to feature the latest AMD graphics chip for an improved gaming experience. The AMD chip is reportedly the Polaris 11, which is also said to be included in most of the subsequent products from Apple in 2016.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is also reportedly boasting OLED control panel replacement like in previous MacBook laptops. The device allegedly will replace the function keys for the control panel with OLED technology. The forthcoming device is slated to cost between $1,099 and $2,200.
