Bret Hart may no longer be active in the wrestling scene but he did have lots of big moments in his WWE career. That includes that celebrated tussle with Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 12 where he lost the WWE title. A rematch would have happened at Wrestlemania 13 but the two legends ended up facing different foes.
Bret Hart recalls Wrestlemania 12 pretty well. Though he lost, everyone knows that all of it was in the script. According to the “Hitman”, there were plans to hold a rematch between him and the “Heartbreak Kid” at Wrestlemania 13. Unfortunately, the scripts changed with Hart facing Stone Cold Steve Austin instead in what would go down as one of the classic matches the WWE has ever had.
Before that, Hart revealed how there were plans for another “Iron Match” rematch with Shawn Michaels. Apparently all that would pick off from Wrestlemania 13 with him having a beef to settle with the “Heartbreak Kid”. Though it wouldn’t be an hour-long as the one in Wrestlemania 12, Hart revealed how he would have evened the score.
Known for his ‘super kick’, Bret Hart revealed how he would have catch Michael’s foot and reverse it and turn it to a similar lock hold used in the UFC. He would have tried to break Shawn’s foot and reclaim the belt after which he would hurl explicit words to the “Heartbreak Kid”, Forbes reported.
While that could have been something, it wasn’t meant to be. With Hart taking on Austin, Michaels ended up on the sidelines doing commentary as the Undertaker took on Sycho Sid.
Right now, Hart has been receiving heavy criticism for his take on what the WWE has been employing. He recently took a swipe at Seth Rollins, calling him reckless and also drew flak for jabbing at the Hall of Fame induction of the “Fabulous Freebirds”. Hart apologized for the rants in a separate report from Forbes.
