"Toki Tori 2," the sequel to Dutch game developer Two Tribes' first game, "Toki Tori" all the way back on the Game Boy Color is releasing on the Wii U eShop on April 4 after much anticipation. Originally announced before the Wii U launched in October 2011, "Toki Tori 2" saw a couple of short delays before nailing down its release next month, though Two Tribes was smart enough to never put out a strong date until now.
Instead of reading our take on the game, take a look at how "Two Tribes" puts it on their website:
"Toki Tori 2 is a Metroidvania style puzzle adventure game in which you explore a lush forest island inhabited by strange creatures. Whistle and stomp to influence their behavior, and solve the puzzles. But what's up with that black goo? It's threatening your home world!
Our unlikely yellow hero may be the star of the show, but he won't get anywhere without the creatures he meets along the way. You can whistle and stomp to influence them, and use their abilities to your advantage. As you play, the storyline unfolds. Your goal is to get to the core of the corruption and save the island!"
The game features an open-world and off-tv play on the Wii U's gamepad. Two Tribes said a Steam release is coming "later this year; around summer," on Youtube.
