When the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL were announced earlier this month, many people were intrigued of the new devices that are supposed to replace the popular Nexus brand of the company. Now that Google has started to ship the handsets across the US market, fans could no longer wait to get their unit and see for themselves what the devices are made of. Now, new reports have emerged saying that the Google Pixel XL are sold out and won't be available in stores until Google decides to increase the production.
The report came from a Twitter post from the Lead external comms for Verizon's wireless, landline & enterprise businesses, Jeffrey Nelson. He revealed that fans will not be able to get the new Google Pixel XL at this moment as all stocks have been sold out through pre-orders.
Although fans can still get the smaller Google Pixel unit, the high-end Pixel XL won't be available until further notice as the handset is also out of stock on the company's web store. The hype of Google Pixel and Pixel XL is definitely real and people are hoping to get their piece. According to reports, the new Google smartphone brand has what it takes to challenge the iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in the market. Experts are saying that it would not be surprising if Google Pixel and Pixel XL will dominate the smartphone market for the remainder of 2016.
Meanwhile, the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL are both running on the same Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm paired with 4 GB DDR4 RAM. However, the Pixel XL has a better display technology than the regular Pixel unit as it will support 4K video.
In terms of prices, the Google Pixel is available with a starting price of $649; while the Pixel XL will start at $769. Stay tuned for more news and updates about the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL.
