Hollywood actress Chloe Grace Moretz will team up with Dell and Alienware in a three-part Youtube series about gaming. She will be playing herself as she visits the Rooster Teeth headquarter in Austin, Texas in an episode. Moretz, enjoying herself as she plays the sports-action game "Rocket League" alongside Achievement Hunter personalities on Alienware PC.
The Youtube series falls under the highly popular genre "Let's Play" category. The mini-series revolves around Chloe Grace Moretz and the Achievement Hunters, Gavin Free, Michael Jones, Jack Pattillo, who are Rooster Teeth employees who play video games for the Achievement Hunter channel.
Rooster Teeth is a production company behind hits such as "Red vs. Blue" and had more that 25 million subscribers. Meanwhile, the Achievement hunters is a Rooster Teeth channel that focuses on comedy style gaming videos and achievement guides. Dell approaced Chloe Grace Moretz because she's been outspoken of some social issues.
The intention of the short series is to show that women are also capable of gaming. In an interview with Mashable, Chloe Grace Moretz said that it's also a form of sexism to say that girls don't game. She added that gaming is such a fun experience and that she really wanted to show that it's not aggressive and masculine and "It's just fun".
Chloe Grace Moretz grew up playing sports and video games with her four brothers. Moretz said that Dell is doing interesting stuff and using their giant platforms to better the world and provide real social commentary.
Dell also reached out to Chloe Grace Moretz to see if there is anything that she feels uncomfortable which will be taken out of the film. The "Carrie" actress thinks it's a big thing because everyone are shocked to hear that she is a female gamer
Currently, Chloe Grace Moretz is taking a break from Hollywood to concentrate on social issues. This video series is an opportunity for her to empower female gamers who are left outside the community which is dominated by males. In 2015 Pew Research Center study revealed that 48% of American women are gamers. The first episode of three part online series will be released on Monday on Alienware Youtube Channel, Alienware Tv.
