A lot have already been reported about the upcoming gaming console from Nintendo; however, the company has yet to make an official announcement with regard to the development and release of its new gaming system dubbed as Nintendo NX. The device has been a favorite subject of numerous rumors and speculations all over the Internet since the beginning of 2016. Now, new reports from Wall Street Journal suggest that despite its increasing hype, the highly anticipated console has yet to be made official.
However, several sources are saying that the company is already preparing for a Nintendo NX announcement in the next few weeks. Apparently, the new device will be revealed by the Japanese gaming company through its Nintendo Direct presser along with several game titles, which are expected to come out with the new console. Nonetheless, until Nintendo decides to make it official, all speculations must be taken with a grain of salt.
There are reports suggesting that Nintendo is currently focusing on the upcoming release of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" and its plan to launch the "Super Mario Run" on Apple's iOS operating system. The whole gaming industry is expected to take an interesting turn in 2017 as Microsoft and Sony are also planning to release new consoles. If rumors prove to be true, Nintendo NX is going to face tough competition once PlayStation Pro and Xbox One Scorpio both arrive in the market next year.
Meanwhile, according to a report by Express, Nintendo is said to be gearing up for a big announcement about Nintendo NX before October ends. The company is expected to hold a Q2 earnings call this month and if this report is anything to go by, Nintendo will showcase its new console during the event.
