'Final Fantasy XV' Release Date, News & Update: Square Enix Flexes Massive Marketing in Japan; Expect More FFXV Fanfares

Details are slowly trickling in as "Final Fantasy XV" release date looms. Developer Square Enix is now revealing some details about gameplay including Ascension and much more.

If Square Enix was secretive during the formation stages of flagship "Final Fantasy XV," they changed stance and now beginning to unveil some juicy information. There will be an interesting progress tree where skills are to be piled up. There is also a funny progression notes about combat cooking. Then the fun part in character customization.

Meanwhile, here is a glimpse of what is happening around the globe as "Final Fantasy XV" nears its infancy. According to Rocket News, there is an ongoing craze in Japan where Shibuya Station looks like a giant marketing tool for Square Enix. Most of the train station's pillars were wrapped with colorful prints featuring FFXV characters.

Since Japan was considered as "Final Fantasy XV" crazed nation, expect Square Enix flexing its campaign even in unlikely places. Think of short movies, online video streams and even FFXV-themed restaurants in Tokyo. Gamers are also thinking that another rendition titled "World of Final Fantasy" is another pre-hype component of the game.

Well of course, Square Enix antics for "Final Fantasy XV" has time limit so don't bother flying to Tokyo just to get a selfie from Shibuya. However, FFXV is due on November so expect more big bangs from the developers.

In related development, Segment Next reported that director Hajime Tabata stressed that there are no plans yet to include PC platform for "Final Fantasy XV." Though there is a huge uproar from gamers that release shouldn't be limited to PlayStation and Xbox One, Tabata admits that nothing of recent tidings lead to PC.

What could be a consolation for gamers is Tabata's confirmation that "Final Fantasy XV" will support HDR. Meaning, consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S can enjoy better graphics since they both offer HDR support as well.
