Bethesda listen - gamers are requesting for a bit of change from traditional companion system which is yet again, upcoming "The Elder Scrolls 6" might feature. More so that the developer stated that same system serves as cornerstone of this new iteration. However, there is a win-win situation where everybody can share contentment.
It is given that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will sport the same stumbling into a companion, questing with them then ending in potential romance plot. This trick still does magic but gamers will agree that it is a well-worn tactic. In fact, most can't remember anymore since when Bethesda introduced this companion system.
There is a legitimate way though to retain companion system for "The Elder Scrolls 6" but improve it into current gamers' taste buds. Say for example, a multi-party instead of boring lone companion, Gaming Bolt suggested. Wouldn't it be nice to have several AI-dependent companions with the main character forming a little band of heroes? How about - sadly but effective game strategy, making some of them as tanks to take the damage away from the protagonist?
Consider the latter premise brutal, but multiple companions are handy when hoarding loots. Gamers tend to overburden current single companion with loots, thus making them repository. If they run out of space and can't carry anymore, then there is no other option. Remember that Bethesda spoke of better and more loot items when they last spoke of "Elder Scrolls 6," Game Spot reported. Having another hand to hoard wouldn't hurt, right?
Then here comes another observation about Bethesda's unique approach of allowing gamers to forge their own narratives. "The Elder Scrolls 6" will still have companions with their unique traits which can either contest or approve the character's actuations. Sometimes however, this hinders personal preference. Companion traits should still be included but not to the point of reducing the character's efficiency.
Now to wrap up, "Elder Scrolls 6" will be improved with additional companions. Secondly, Bethesda can tweak companion traits. If by any chance, the developer comes up with these changes, then the new title will sport new perspective instead of plain revamped version.
