It may be a while before we see "Power" season 4 on the television but recent news about the crime drama seems to hint that the show will be cancelled. The show, which stars Omari Hardwick and executive produced by American rapper and hip hop artist 50 Cent, was for a time the most popular show on its home network Starz.
While TV Line reported that the third season finale of "Power" broke the record for the highest same day viewership numbers for Starz with an audience of 2.26 million, the network is said to be not satisfied with the ratings especially with how high the money they invested into the series is. According to reports, executives will be meeting next week to decide the future of "Power" Season 4.
This was despite the fact that Coming Soon reported that Starz ordered two additional seasons of the series including "Power" Season 4 back during the premiere week of the third season. To prevent the cancellation of the show, 50 Cent is said to be readying some possible concessions to executives. One of this is the possibility of reducing the season order from ten episodes to eight so that the network can shell out a lower budget.
Starz has not stated when "Power" Season 4 will premiere but it is possible that it will follow its previous release pattern and debut in the spring of 2017. GameNGuide will be covering more on spoilers and updates on "Power" Season 4 in the coming months as production for the new season starts.
