FastPokeMap is set to go back online this weekend according to their official Twitter account that developers are finding ways to crack the API that "Pokémon Go" uses and to get the app back online. FastPokeMap was one of the map trackers that were shut down by Niantic after its latest update on "Pokémon Go."
FastPokeMap and its developers said in a series of tweets said that they understand Niantic's move to block third-party apps to keep the integrity of the game. But with the condition that it doesn't hurt their "Pokémon Go" user base and that they are self-sabotaging to try and control the growth of their own game.
The FastPokeMap was used by over 10 million daily site visits and was one of the most popular map trackers available for "Pokémon Go." Niantic has blocked all third-party apps and threatens players that will continue using them will be banned.
WWG reports that the developers and volunteers behind the map tracker got to work after the updates of "Pokémon Go" and was able to crack the API in just three days. However the developers found a stopgap fix and could manage Niantic to shut down the app once more.
"Pokémon Go" updates included new features. The update added a Catch Bonus where trainers earn a catch bonus for a Pokémon type. The trainers can now bring six Pokémon to battle friendly gyms where the Combat Power could be adjusted temporarily for your training session.
The egg and incubator screens were it would update the trainers of the distanced walked without the trainer to close and open the screen. A fixed audio issues, decreased the evolution animation time are in the recent "Pokemon Go" update.
Other unnoticeable updates of "Pokémon Go" reported by Otakukart, when trainers encounter a Pokémon the screen now displays bonus badge. The medal interface was also updated that now displays visual progress bar.
"Pokmeon Go" trainers are also expecting the features that Naintic has promised and confirmed in the coming updates. These include the second generation of Pokémons, the interaction between trainers, improved sightings and Pokémon Centers.
