"Frozen 2" is one of the highly anticipated movies after being widely-received worldwide grossing over $1.27 billion in the movie. Former lead actresses Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel may have hinted their return amidst giving feedback for how the sequel is progressing but rumor has it that Menzel may have been axed from the film. Apparently, casting for Arendelle's Queen has already begun and Rihanna or Taylor Swift are among the choices for the role.
It has been a few years since "Frozen" had been released but it is said to be the ninth highest grossing movie, Box Office Mojo reported. Apparently the movie still has its charms among children and grown-ups alike singing the song "Let It Go" from the film and donning Elsa, Anna and Olaf on clothes, books and parties until now. "Frozen 2" is expected to be a big hit among its fans who are excited to see what will be next for the royal sisters of Arendelle.
Hollywood is said to be sequel obsessed at the moment and it is allegedly unlikely for Disney to stop at one film for the franchise. In fact, with how well "Frozen" has been doing, it is expected to follow up with a sequel anytime soon just like the "Pirates of the Caribbean" have. Just this year, "Finding Dory" was released shortly after "Finding Nemo" making $1 billion worldwide.
In other news, Disney had already made the official announcement that "Frozen 2" would indeed be happening. The House of Mouse has kept mum with the other details. However, previous reports claim that the lead characters Anna, Elsa and Olaf will be back for the sequel.
"Frozen 2" may still include Kristen Bell as the voice behind Anna and while Idina Menzel has already dropped hints about her return as the voice behind Elsa, reports have claimed otherwise. Apparently, new reports have surfaced claiming that Menzel had been axed from the sequel and that new voices would be brought in. Queen Elsa will be either Rihanna or Taylor Swift, Morning Ledger reported. Watch video on how will Swift do as Queen Elsa? Watch Elsa from 'Frozen' Sings 'Mine' by 'Taylor Swift' here:
