"Friday The 13th: The Game" is adding great developments resulting to a delay in its release, IGN reported. According to Gun Media, the game release will be delayed until Spring 2017. The developments will include Al bots, another playable character (Tommy Jarvis) and another playable map (Packanack Lodge).
"Friday The 13th: The Game" is a joint venture between publisher Gun Media and game developer IllFonic. It was successfully funded in 2015 Kickstarter campaign and private investment. 'Friday The 13th: The Game' Developments
While the news of delay is a disappointing for most fans, "Friday The 13th: The Game" will reportedly receive a single-player mode, Eurogamer added. A Kickstarter update showed this message, "While the addition of Single Player and AI Bots means a bigger game for all, they also mean a delay from a Fall 2016 release window to a new launch window scheduled for Spring 2017."
Aside from the single-player mode, there will also be a third playable map. However, this means that the game will increase from $30 to $40. James Jarvis will be added as one of the playable characters.
For those who pre-ordered the "Friday The 13th: The Game" or supported it on Kickstarter, they will receive the game without additional cost. The full multiplayer component will be released in early 2017. The initial release will be followed by the single player component in the summer, which will include the Al Bots.
