According to Christiantimes, President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) will meet his untimely death in "House of Cards" Season 5. It would have been another term of the Underwood's stint at the Whitehouse. However, savouring the presidency will be cut shorter than later for Frank.
In "House of Cards" Season 5, Frank Underwood will die as his presidential chief of staff, Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) and most trusted right-hand man will kill him, Deadline, reported. This was revealed by Kelly in one his interviews but he added that there could be some changes in the plot in season 5.
A flashback on Season 4 may contradict Kelly's spoilers of "House of Cards" Season 5. Doug was portrayed as the man who sacrificed his life as he took the bullet to protect his friend, the President in an assassination attempt.
"House of Cards" Season 5 is crafted to challenge the viewers' imagination of a conspiracy besetting the Whitehouse. Considering the president and the first lady's troubled marriage and their unimaginable hunger for power, the perpetrator of the killing may not be Doug himself.
Looking deeply into Season 4, Claire is depicted as the manoeuvering power- thirsty Vice President who has the nerve to kill. "House of Cards" Season 5 will have the knife pointing to Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) as the real killer.
Up to this time, there is no exact date yet on the airing of "House of Cards" Season, except that it is scheduled for the premiere in 2017. One major change next season is that Beau Willimon, will no longer be the series showrunner.
