If reports are to be believed, Apple is vigorously looking into technology that can make the cutting-edge look of the iPhone 8 possible, a new patent application by the company has proved. The flagship phone from Apple is expected to sport a brand new design when it releases next year.
The stunning new design of the Apple iPhone 8 is expected to have a display that will take up the entire face of the device. Apple has apparently filed for a number of patents that will allow the tech giant to place the fingerprint scanner beneath the glass surface, reports Express.
The company took the first step towards this design by removing the physical Home button from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. This has in fact freed the space previously taken by the Home button and pave way for an edge-to-edge display. However, the bezel at the top could be a matter of concern.
The bezel in the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus currently hosts the front-facing camera, front speaker, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. If the bezel is removed entirely from iPhone8, Apple would have to place these underneath the glass which is perhaps impractical at this point.
Apple Insider recently discovered a new patent that has revealed some plans by Apple for the iPhone 8. The new technology adopted by Apple will allow the company to relocate some of the components and the light sensor could be integrated in the screen without affecting the touch functionality, reports Yahoo! Tech.
The Apple iPhone 8 may also sport an aluminum frame along with some revolutionary specs including wireless charging function. Needless to say, Apple will continue with the AirPods.
However, as BGR reports, fans expecting the iPhone 8 to be made of ceramics will be thoroughly disappointed. Stay tuned on GameNGuide for more updates on Apple iPhone 8.
