Apple is rumored to hold an event in October and even though the company is still tight-lipped about what is in store, leaks suggest the Cupertino-based company has been dedicating all its time and effort in developing a line of products and that includes the MacBook Pro 2016.
As per the leaks, Foxconn reportedly showed prototypes at a Chinese university, of devices Apple will soon be releasing. Foxconn is Apple's biggest manufacturing partner and the company displayed a prototype of the E Ink Magic Keyboard and a MacBook Pro 2016 keyboard module.
The MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to sport a secondary touchscreen display just above the standard keyboard. It will be home to a row of morphing function keys, reports BGR. This display will show different keys based on the app the user is using. Many are considering this revolutionary as it will open up a large range of functionalities for MacBook Pro owners.
The OLED function key panel in the MacBook Pro 2016 is definitely one of the most exciting laptop features fans have seen in recent years. An anonymous Reddit user named "Foxconninsider" also revealed details about the next-generation Magic Keyboard. It will feature an E Ink display on every single key.
Apple is currently working with Sonder, a startup, on the keyboard. In another Reddit post, "Foxconninsider" has claimed that the Magic Keyboard may feature color E Ink instead of grayscale. However, fans may not see the Magic Keyboard anytime soon. It is expected to be revealed in 2018.
Digital Trends reports that October could very well be the month of the MacBook Pro 2016 with the device being released on Oct. 27. The device will be sporting with a 6th-generation Skylake processor or a 7th-generation Kaby Lake chipset. Whatever chip Apple decides to go with, there will be amazing improvement in energy efficiency and performance.
