HTC Halfbeak Android Smartwatch is rumored to be in the works. Recent leaked images have been spotted online allegedly showing the device sporting the HTC logo. Rumor has it that the wearable device will feature a heart rate sensor, rubber strap and a GPS tracker for running routes.
The company is yet to reveal any official details about the HTC Halfbeak Android Wear Smartwatch. However, leaked reports also reveal that the device will run Android Wear and will feature a circular form factor. Moreover, the device is said to feature a 360 x 360 screen, reports Slash Gear.
The HTC Android Smartwatch has been in the rumor mill for over two years. On that note, HTC loyalists have reportedly shown frustration over HTC's indecisiveness. It should be noted that the images seen online apparently sported an older version of the Android wear. Hence, the photos are believed to be an undeveloped prototype instead of sneak peek shots of the HTC Halfbeak Android Wear Smartwatch.
Apart from the HTC Halfbeak Android Wear Smartwatch, the company is also said to reveal three new flagship phones in the Ocean series: Ocean Smart, Ocean Master and Ocean Note. The three handsets allegedly support Sense Touch. However, the company is said to be suffering financial losses despite doing the grunt work for Google's Pixel phones.
In other news, beyond the Pixel phones, the HTC Android Wear Smartwatch maker reportedly tied up with Google for after sales services for the newly released Pixel phones. Google partnered up with HTC India for after sales services in 56 walk-in service centers in more than 30 cities in the country, a Google spokesperson said. Moreover, Redington India is said to be the national distributor for all channels for the Pixel phones in India.
The HTC Android Wear Smartwatch, if true, is expected to help boost sales for the company given its fitness awareness approach. In the meantime, the company's retail stores will also sell the new Pixel phones. HTC is expected to give an official statement regarding their rumored devices.
