Google Pixel and Pixel XL have finally unveiled, making a lot of smartphone users wonder if the new phones could match with the performance of iPhone 7. While Apple boasts of creating the best smartphone in the market, Google, on the other hand, claims that the Pixel handsets are actually the best to ever launch in 2016. In fact, Google also takes credit for the design and development of both Pixel handsets, despite reports that HTC is the brains behind the manufacturing of the new devices.

The new Google Pixel handsets are reported to be equipped with the most advanced mobile processor. Both Android smartphones run the latest chip of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 821 that also comes with four cores: two Kryo cores clocked at 1.6GHz and two Kryo cores clocked at 2.15GHz.

iPhone 7 Specs

On the other hand, iPhone 7 runs at A10 Fusion, the most powerful chip from TSMC. Apple is reportedly claiming that A10 Fusion is the fastest chip for a smartphone due to the 64-bit, quad-core processor of two highly efficient and two highly performing cores, which makes the iPhone 7 40 percent faster compared to the iPhone 6s A9 chip.

Google Pixel's Snapdragon 821, on one hand, is 10 percent better than the Snapdragon 820 chip in terms of performance. In fact, Qualcomm claims that the 821 chi supports the X12 LTE, which according to a report reportedly three times as fast as the X10 LTE in all Snapdragon 810-performing smartphones.

Meanwhile, Google has reportedly released several photos that were taken with Pixel and Pixel XL camera that show off both handsets' features. These photos were posted by Pixel's camera lead Isaac Reynolds in the Google Photos album named "#NoFilter." Although the images were taken by the Pixel devices, the EXIF data reveals that nearly half of the photos were edited using apps such as SnapSeed and VSCO.

Google Pixel XL's 4K video feature was also showcased when cinematographer Ron8it reportedly took a video using the smartphone.
